Filing a content claim

You may eventually stumble upon content that belongs to you but is being monetized by another party. If the fraudulent content infringes on your copyrights you may file a content claim directly with the DMS (Digital Music Services).

Content claims, also known as DMCA notices, are filed in a different way according to the platform on which you detect the fraudulent content. Here are is the procedure you must follow according to the DMS:

Forms

On the platforms below, fill-in the content infringement form:

• Apple Music / iTunes
• GooglePlay

E-mail 

On the platforms below, address your claim by e-mail:

• Deezer
• Napster
• Tidal
• Amazon

Make sure to include the following in your e-mail:

Information about the claimant

• Last Name / First Name
• Company
• Address
• E-mail
• Your link to the original right-holder (label / management / exclusive distributor etc)

Information about the copyright infringement

• Sound Recording / Artwork / Trademark ?
• Link to litigious content
• Short explanation about the infringement

Statements

“I hereby state that I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”

“I hereby state that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
