MUSIGA Ashanti region holds Workshop on Digital Music Distribution.

MUSIGA Ashanti region holds Workshop on Digital Music Distribution for all registered Members. The workshop was facilitated by Apprise Music; Ghana’s foremost digital music distribution company, the workshop was well patronized by the Union Members.

The Resources persons for the Workshop were Michael Bamfo; founder/CEO of Apprise Music and Richard Sumah; General Manager of Apprise Music. The event was Chaired Mrs. Augustina Addison; Chair-Woman of MUSIGA Ashanti region.

Among topics discussed at the workshop were the new trends in Music distribution, Branding as Artistes and the need to prioritize the monetization of their creative works and the media available to them to explore.

The event was climaxed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Musicians Union of Ghana, ASHANTI Regional Branch and Apprise Music; Ghana’s foremost digital music distribution company. This new partnership offers new opportunities for member musicians to connect & promote their music to new audiences/groups with new revenue opportunities. Through membership with MUSIGA, ASHANTI members will have their content automatically delivered to partner digital distribution platforms by Apprise Music.

This is an initiative to give equal access to all musicians within the Union to have access to global audience by the distribution of their songs to all monetized stores outlets worldwide; such as Apprise music, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, and over 150 stores worldwide.
